Maya wanted to get her ears pierced so off we went to Claire's today. She was so calm and collected. She didn't even flinch. I couldn't believe it. We keep telling her how beautiful she is and she keeps saying "Oh I know!! :)"
She was all ready to go.
She had her hair clipped back. (and started to gather an audience)
Had her ears pierced..
... and admired herself in the mirror.

She isn't the only one who thinks she is beautiful! And she looks so grown up and proud of herself. Love that girl!
That is so adorable. I read on another friends blog that her daughter only did one ear and it was that way for 2 weeks. She didn't want to go through the pain of doing the other ear!

I wasn't that calm. And ... let's see ... the first time I was 15. The second time I was maybe 23? 24?
I avoid pain.

wow, she is really brave! ella is telling me she does NOT want her ears pierced yet. maybe she'll change her mind soon(i showed her this post to help coax her into it:) "see, maya from preschool did it and look how pretty she is!" :)
